Drying Time

The Wood Conditioner will be touch dry in minutes and fully dry after 1 hour, ready to apply your chosen Littlefair's Wood Stain .

Please note: this is an approximate drying time. There could be a number of factors that may affect this.

Coverage

Approx. coverage of 15m² per litre, for one liberal coat.

This water-based formula is intended for use before applying Littlefair’s Wood Stain. It will soak into the wood and help create a consistent surface for staining.

We recommend using Wood Conditioner before applying our Natural Wood Stains.

Prepare

Careful and thorough preparation will result in a far superior final result.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or any previous protection – such as varnish, oil or wax polish. Well sanded wood will form the basis for a good quality finish. Do not apply the wood conditioner to wet surfaces or if there is a risk of rain or frost.

Apply

Apply the wood conditioner as quickly and evenly as possible using a good quality brush, working along the grain. It will soak into the wood and help create a consistent surface for staining.

Once fully dry (typically after 1 hour), lightly sand with a fine abrasive and remove any dust with a dry brush or a slightly damp cloth or sponge. You're now ready to apply your chosen Littlefair’s Wood Stain.
